Fivio Foreign – You Make Me ft. Fire Choir
“You Make Me” is a 2026 single by Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign, featuring the Fire Choir. Released on November 6, 2026, the track marks a significant continuation of Fivio’s transition into “Gospel Drill,” a subgenre blending the aggressive rhythms of Brooklyn drill music with faith-based, spiritual messages.
Key Details & Background
- Musical Style & Interpolation: The song layers the soulful, uplifting vocals of the Fire Choir over a fast-paced trap beat. It heavily features an interpolation of Monica’s classic R&B track “Gone”.
- Thematic Shift: Lyrically, Fivio Foreign trades his traditional block and street-centric rhymes for themes centered around reading scripture, finding mental clarity through prayer, and walking with God. In the lyrics, he expresses that he is using his “God-given talent” to bring balance to his life.
- Creative Pivot: This track follows up on his previous 2026 Gospel Drill collaborations with the choir, including “SOLDIER” and “Chasin'”. Fivio has stated in interviews that he is intentionally stepping away from secular drill music to praise God through his art.
