Masters at Work
The story begins in 1992…
Mike Mission and DJ. Stone are given the opportunity through the help of Tanya aka Royal T. to replace The Legendary “Sound Supreme Show” on CKUT 90.3 FM and named their show “The Masters at Work”.
Mike Mission & DJ Stone – also known at that time as The “M&M Connection” – quickly set the airwaves on fire with body shaking Hip Hop music that had Montrealers going crazy and kids wanting to be MCs and Hip Hop DJs.
In 1995, DJ. Stone headed to NYC to live with his family and handed over The Co-Host position to Ken Dawg who DJ Stone had coached as his replacement while Ken had been answering the “On Air” phone line for Masters at Work Show on Saturday nights. Ken Dawg was given a mandate to keep the Masters at Work hot for as long as they represented on the Radio.

For more than 30 years, Masters at Work has been a trusted voice in the community, connecting generations through music, conversation and shared experiences.
This Initiative is designed to support and empower young people while strengthening the communities we serve.
Through the sale of specially branded MAW clothing celebrating the radio show’s longstanding history, we aim to provide funding for youth-focused programs, community activities, mentorship opportunities, educational initiatives, and other projects that make a positive difference.
Every purchase represents more than a piece of clothing. It is a way for our listeners, supporters, and community members to wear a piece of history while investing in the future.
By bringing together the legacy of a radio program that has stood the test of time and the energy, creativity, and potential of today’s youth, this initiative creates a bridge between generations.
