Fridayy – Text (Official Video)
“Text” is a popular R&B/Soul song by American artist Fridayy, released on August 14, 2026, as the sixth track on his album, Tension. The song heavily trends on TikTok due to its highly relatable hooks about modern communication and relationship drama.
Francis Leblanc, known professionally as Fridayy, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, and record producer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is widely recognized for his signature, soul-stirring hooks that blend contemporary R&B, hip-hop, and deep gospel influences.
Born into a Haitian-American family, Fridayy’s musical roots were formed in the church. His father, a pastor, introduced him to the church band, where Fridayy learned to play the piano, bass, guitar, and drums by age six. His stage name was suggested by his brother as a nod to melodic artists like The Weeknd and PartyNextDoor, with an extra “Y” added to avoid confusion with the classic movie Friday.
